New dragons' abilities
1-Bit Dragons » Devlog
The 1BitDragons game was initially developed for the 1-Bit Weekend Jam.
That was my second ever game jam, and I've received way more feedbacks than I expected.
Most gamers appreciated the overall game, but the most recurring comment was about too little variation.
Thus, I've decided to also participate to the Improve My Game Jam #10 and take the opportunity to add a little something to the game.
These are the improvements implemented since the initial release:
- Added description text to the intro page
- Added support for mobile/touch devices
- Changed the projectile sprite from a cannonball to an arrow which also rotates following its direction
- Added an audio fx for the shot
- Adjusted the source position of the shot
- Fixed music coming only from the left channel
- Last but definitely not least: added more variation to dragons' abilities (spoiler ahead!) :
- Added dragons without reflection (previously there were only dragons visible only in the reflection)
- Added blinking dragons
I also migrated from Godot 3.2.1 to 3.2.3 RC1, which enables Visual Studio support. I enjoyed the new workflow much more compared to working with VS Code!
I hope you like the improvements and that you enjoy the game.
Further feedbacks are greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
